In the picturesque valley of the Struma river, in the east neighbourhood of the village of Vukovo (1.5 km away from the road Kyustendil-Boboshevo) is located „St. Petka” Church.

The church was built in the 16th century. The frescoes date back to 1598 according to the inscription on the western wall of the naos. The church is a one-nave, one-apse building without a narthex. It has wall piers, which make an arch on the western façade. The church has a solid construction and a semi-cylindrical vault.

The frescoes stand out with the richness of the colour palette. They give evidence about the development of the late medieval religious painting in Bulgaria and on the Balkans.
The church is an architectural and art monument of culture and is of national significance.
