"Vesa Paspaleeva" Ladies' Poetical Studio, Kyustendil

Notwithstanding their day-to-day duties and chores, they dream, love, write poems. In the solitude of the new day or in the hoarse silence of the night, they curl up and put down strings of world to make up poems. Poetry is a mission for them. These are the girls and women from the "Vesa Paspaleeva" Ladies’ Poetical Studio at the Bratstvo Community Centre.
Legends of Pirin Mountain

Once upon a time, in the distant pagan times, people believed in god Perun, who lived in most beautiful mountain. But when Christianity was adopted everywhere, god Perun, retreated slowly to the highest point on the mountain, which was named after him - Perin.
Legends of Kyustendil mineral water

The most valuable natural resource of Kyustendil is the warm mineral water. An old legend has it that one night the warm mineral water in the foothills of the Hisarlaka mount gushed out from hundreds of geysers – they were so numerous that they threatened to flood the town and drown its residents.

The Vram peak
The Vram peak rises over the village of Korkina some 12 km away from the community center of Bobov Dol. The locality of the same name around the peak has an interesting story. It is a known fact that this was the area of the summer residence of King Samuil.

Coce Stone, Kratovo

The locality of Coce Stone (Cocev Kamen) is 25 km on the west from Kratovo, nearby the village Shopsko Rudari. It is believed that this was neolith settlement where inhabitants were hunters and farmers. The rock itself represents spiritual shrine, which can be seen today by numerous remains as well as the objects found nearby.

Kalata is abbreviation from The city of tin. From this place, in the past, people drew gold and tin. The highest point of the former Tin city is 200 meters from the bottom of Kalimanska River. The road Via Egnatia passed here.
