Strumyanche Children’s Dance Ensemble, Kyustendil

Strumyanche Children’s Dance Ensemble was founded in 1998 by the choreographer Angelina Arbova as a natural successor of Osogovo Folk Ensemble. The ensemble has performed at various festivals and competitions and has won numerous local, national and international awards - Sofia International Folk Panorama, Orfeeva Darba (the Gift of Orpheus) etc.

Debut Studio, Kyustendil

Debut Studio began its activities in 1994 as Debut Experimental Studio at Bratstvo 1869 Community Centre. Today it comprises more than 100 children, aged between 4 and 18. The club was established in 2011 at Bratstvo 1869 Community Centre under the guidance of Desislava Kamcheva. Children and youths of various ages join the club to learn and dance ballroom and Latin-American dances - Tango, Foxtrot, Viennese Waltz, Cha Cha, Paso Doble etc.

Children’s School of Music, Bratstvo 1869 Community Centre, Kyustendil

The Children’s School of Music was established on 2 July 1953, under the name “Georgi Goranov”. It launched its activities with courses in violin, piano, guitar, mandolin, wind instruments, cello, contrabass and singing. Kyustendilche Children’s and Youth Dance Ensemble was founded in 1997 and its artistic director is Rangel Madzharski. The activity of this folk dance group continues the traditions of the Bulgarian dance folklore. Kalpazani Vocal Group

Kalpazani (scamps) Vocal Group was formed in 1995 at Paisiy Hilendarski Primary School in Kyustendil by the music teacher Liliya Aleksandrova. The vocal group won its first award with the song “Hazart” (gambling). In 2002 the children staged the musical “Bremen Town Scamps”.

Zlatni Yabalki Children’s Music Festival

Zlatni Yabalki (Golden Apples) International Children’s Music Festival is held every autumn in Kyustenidil. It brings together talented children from Bulgaria and the whole of Europe. The festival is organized thanks to the great efforts and enthusiasm of Mr Ivan Stoynev, a longtime leader of Tip Top Children’s Vocal Group in Kyustenidl.

Pautalia Folk Dance Ensemble, Kyustendil

The ensemble was established in 1985 by Valentin Kenov who is its artistic director. 40 young girls and boys, intoxicated by the magic of Bulgarian songs, music and dances, captivated by the beauty and flamboyance of the folk costumes, laid the foundations of Pautalia Folk Dance Ensemble.

The ensemble has participated in regional and national festivals and has won prestigious awards and honours.
